We don't just stop where and how our products are 'made'. One of the biggest social issue we want to stand up for is Equality! And the first and most important step is providing education for girls in developing countries.
"If you educate a woman, you educate a family, if you educate a girl, you educate the future." - Queen Rania of Jordan
The act of giving goes both ways. We want our customers to feel rewarded that they are making a huge difference on someone's life. And for us, we're proud to create products to help those in need. Since 2016 we have joined ONE GIRL on a mission to change the world by educating one girl at a time. Our commitment is to donate 1 girl’s education fund for a month for every full price item sold. We want to thank the incredible ONE GIRL team in Australia and abroad that are making amazing change to these girls’ lives. They are aiming to educate 1 million girls. We invite you to join us on this rewarding journey.
There're so many things that will prevent a girl being educated.
Her main barriers might include: Sold into marriage / Early or forced pregnancy / Poverty
The ultimate solution is education.
Sierra Leone and Uganda. Some of the worst places on earth to be born a girl. A girl born in Sierra Leone is more likely to be forced into marriage as a child than she is to go to high school.
Wait. Let’s say that again:
A girl born there is more likely to be forced into marriage as a child than she is to go to high school.
Does that not strike you as a little off? Or just completely WRONG? Well that’s why we’re doing something to change it. (And why you should too).
425 education scholarships,
1400+ Girls benefitting from school awesomisation,
11934 female business brains students,
6828 women & girls reached with Ebola education,
8875 Women & girls educated on menstrual hygiene.
